2006 edition of RMN Standard boasts more than 2.000 updates, enhanced coverage, more tourist and internet features.

On 15 Sept 2005, publisher Rand McNally announced the release of thier signature U.S. Road Atlas, 2006 edition.
Amongst the standard features of this 82nd Edition are such addtions as more highlights for attractions and 16 more inset maps of major urban areas, including downtown Sacramento, California and central Long Island, which, the company notes, have never appeared in any Atlas before, bringing the total detail inset maps to more than 360, enhancing urban-area coverage to a degree never before enjoyed by Atlas users.
2006 also marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Federal-Aid Highway Act by President Eisenhower, which brought the Interstate network into being. In honor of this, Rand McNally provides a list of 50 “adventure stops” throughout the country, each within a 15-minutes drive of an Interstate Highway. The company hasn’t disregarded the present, however; access codes in the Atlas to randmcnally.com provide expanded information available online for tourist attractions and road construction.
The Atlas is available now in bookstores across the nation or online from [1] Rand McNally
