A few more notable geographical and cartographical-themed web desitnations we’ve found in our travels

A site whose tagline, “Geography…in stereo”, hints at one of and the most notable of thier missions, podcasts. Cartography is but one corner of the site’s area of interest, which is the sheer love of geography and geospatial subjects, which range from the expected (GIS) to the unexpected (terraforming). A wealth of links to other geography information as well. Also, they linked to us here in thier posting for day 4 of Geograhical Awareness Week; we thought we’d return the favor.
Mapz says what it’s about in its title. Of interest to GIS fans as well as those interested in library science, there is a great amount of technical information with a bit of personal warmth mixed in. We are also in thier blogroll.

An addition to our list of map publishers, Geocentric produces customized interactive maps in the Flash format. This allows them to express information as art by making each application custom to its context. They offer services to web site developers as well as institutions (visitor’s and convention associations, tourist bureaux, and the like). You can check them out at:
