SHD Slated for Portland, Or; ICHC 2007 calls for papers

The Society for Historical Discoveries have finalized the program for the 47th annual conference, which is slated to be held in just one month’s time, in Portland, Oregon, from 7-9 September, 2006. The SHD welcomes not only members to this forum but anyone with an interest in maps, exploration, and discoveries in general.

A full slate of presentations is promised as well as pre- and post-conference tours of the Portland area. The deadline has just passed (1 August) for discounted registration but there may still be room to register.

ICHC 2007 Call for Papers

The International Conference on the History of Cartography is slated for Berne, Switzerland, 8-13 July 2007, in just under one years’ time. The Call for Papers and Conference Information document has been announced, and is available (along with theme information and submission guidelines)in PDF form at ICHC2007’s site, here.
