Imagine a world wherein Microsoft has acquired the assets of Apple Computer, Corp. Imagine, just for a moment, the branding and package design of the Microsoft iPod. Frightening, isn’t it?
Graphic and video artist Patrick Corcoran awoke in a shuddering cold sweat one winter evening for he had had a nightmare such as the one posed above. In the twisted reality of Patrick’s dreamscape, he was a member of the Microsoft iPod Pro 2005 package design team, working with Microsoft executive’s change requests and branding scheme. It was jarring and haunting.
To exorcise the demon, Patrick did in fact design the package, and chronicled the horror of his nightmare in a video that details the design process. The video is amusing, but terrifying. Parents please, ask your children to leave the room before viewing.
