Dow Jones Newswire: FedEx Kinko’s Button to be Off Adobe Acrobat Table

By Samuel John Klein On 2nd August 2007 @ 06:27 In Graphic Design, News | No Comments

The addition of a “Send to FedEx Kinkos” functionality in the most recent update to Adobe’s Acrobat PDF application has created controversy which apparently has led to Adobe’s removal of that functionality in an update expected out by October, according to a report filed by the Dow Jones Newswires ([1] complete report viewable at this link). Notably, it quotes Joseph P. Truncale, President and CEO of the National Association for Printing Leadership, as saying:

We’re pleased that Adobe was responsive…Clearly this was a mistake, and Adobe admitted that

The report also states that, for those who still desire the feature, FedEx Kinkos distribute the Reader software with the “Send to FedEx Kinko’s” link still in, releasing it sometime in the near future, though no date has apparently been mooted as of yet.
