Serif announces version 11 of their layout program
Not long after the release of PagePlus10, Serif has announced the release of PagePlus 11. This release has a wealth of new and exciting features, as well as a radical user interface makeover.
Serif PagePlus 11 received a great boost. It has some great new features which are likely to make you re-evaluate your opinion of Serif PagePlus. With this new release, you might find yourself using less of third party software such as PDF editing programs like Acrobat or photo editors, due to some of the new capabilities of Serif PagePlus 11.
One particular feature has caught my interest, and that is PagePlus’ support of PDFs. Serif PagePlus 11 can import PDFs and edit them just like any PagePlus document. This is a feature that no other layout application has. You can also create forms in your PDFs and share them through e-mails or on the net. You don’t need to have Acrobat, all you need is Serif PagePlus 11 and you can treat and mistreat your PDFs as much has you want.
Serif Page Plus 11 not only allows you to make quick fixes with imported images, and without a third party photo editor, but it also has image effects such as Motion and Gaussian Blur and others.
You are now able to work with different languages as Serif PagePlus 11 now supports 12 languages, including German, Spanish, French and Italian.
Other features or improvements are the ability to import of tables from Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, designers colour swatches, templates and, as mentioned before, a new and streamlined user interface.

The product does look like it has grown quite a bit, only one thing is a little frustrating. I have not yet discovered a trial version on the Serif website. Trying to compete with Adobe or Microsoft’s page layout software, I think they really need a way for potential customers to preview the software.
You are right, I cannot find a trial either. They do allow you to download some of their previous versions for free though, but that doesn’t let you taste the features of the new versions.
