Tint: A tint is a screened colour. In other words, the colour has an “intensity” that is less than 100%—there is actually a smaller percentage of that colour on the page, making the colour look lighter. For example, 100% back gives you… black. If you were to set it to 50%, you’d get a gray colour. In a tint, the colour used isn’t combined with any other colour.
