On 1 November, Vancouver Washington’s Wacom Technology debuted the new Intuos3 6-by-11-inch digitizing pad. This new product, called by Wacom the world’s first wide-format pen tablet, is specifically intended to adapt to the user who does thier work on a wide screen monitor, or a dual-monitor system.

On 1 November, Vancouver Washington’s Wacom Technology debuted the new Intuos3 6-by-11-inch digitizing pad. This new product, called by Wacom the world’s first wide-format pen tablet, is specifically intended to adapt to the user who does thier work on a wide screen monitor, or a dual-monitor system.
Michael Marcum, Wacom’s director of product managment, described the importance of the wide-format tablet by saying:
With as much as 50% of the creative community soon using either widescreens or dual monitors, we’re confident that the Intuos3 6×11 is going to be very popular.
Designed to exploit the full power of such programs as Adobe® Illustratorâ„¢, Corel® Painterâ„¢ and many other popular graphics applications, the 6×11 Intuos3 comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, Corel Painter Essentials 2, nik Color Efex 2 IE, and Wacom Brushes 2, all for a suggested street price of $369.95.
