Story, Definition of

A story is simply text contained in a text frame, box or block of a layout application. This term is especially used when text flows from one frame (box, block) to the other.

Stories can be exported to word processing applications or can be edited in a Story Editor, which allows one to see text formatting outside the layout you are working on, thus without being distracted by it.
