Quark launched the second phase of its public beta program

Quark released the first beta of their layout program at last Macworld’s conferene. The beta was to expier by the end of March. You now have the possibility to download QuarkXPress 7 beta 2, which will run until May 2. Quark rightly makes a few points which should be taken into consideration when using QuarkXPress 7 beta 2 :

  • QuarkXPress 7 public beta software is a pre-release version.
  • The QuarkXPress 7 Public Beta will be functional through May 2, 2006
  • Not all of the features in QuarkXPress 7 are implemented in this beta release. Users may experience unexpected results when using certain features.
  • QuarkXPress 7 public beta software is not intended for use in a production environment.
  • Technical support is not available for QuarkXPress 7 public beta 2 software.

Please note that if you have used the QuarkXPres 7 beta 1, you might have problems installing the beta 2. Quark addresses these issues here.
