CreativePro: Adobe to Let Dreamweaver Into The Suite
By Samuel John Klein On 21st September 2006 @ 01:51 In Graphic Design, News | 2 Comments
CS2.3 expected in November: upgrade paths available.
Word is now out on the street that the design world has expected even since Adobe assimilated Macromedia: Dreamweaver 8 is expected to be admitted into the suite already occupied by InDesign CS2, Photoshop CS2, and Illustrator CS2. In addition to the new Acrobat 8, the pieces will comprise Adobe Creative Suite 2.3; expected ETA, November 2006.
In her article on CreativePro.com, [1] readable here, editor-in-chief Terri Stone wittily rides the pop-celebrity culture vibe in her commentary:
And you thought Hollywood was rough. Faster than Lindsay Lohan can say “Self destruction,” Adobe’s Creative Suite has has brought in a fresh face, Dreamweaver 8, in preparation for tossing out that ratings loser, GoLive.
Stone also lets us in on the ticket prices: the full ride will be for the first-time purchasers, at $1200; upgraders from CS1 will have to fork over $550, while CS2 users will only have to shell out $160. The three already comforatably lounging about in the Suite will be the same CS2 apps we already know and love from the original cast of CS2.
GoLive is to continue as a stand-alone application.
