Corel Delivers Industry’s First Full-Featured Graphics Suite Certified for Windows Vista

Corel is pleased to announce that CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 has been Certified for Windows Vista – the first full featured graphics suite to achieve certification status. For those of us who have already moved to Windows Vista, this is good news indeed!

PRESS RELEASE

CorelDraw X3 Graphics Suite is the first full-featured graphics suite to be fully certified with the new Windows Vista operating system, which hit the shelves on January 31, 2007. This new update for users of Windows Vista boasts an updated user interface, enhanced security, improved text handling and further enhancements to the popular suite’s renowned import and export file compatibility.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 will feature the Certified for Windows Vista logo and is the second product launched by Corel to be Certified for Windows Vista. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 includes CorelDRAW X3 for vector illustration and page layout, Corel PHOTO-PAINT® X3 for professional image editing, and the power of the new Corel PowerTRACE(TM) that enables the easy conversion of low-quality bitmap images into highly usable vector graphics.

Customers who wish to install the Certified for Windows Vista version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 can download the latest service pack (SP2) from www.corel.com.

Corel has been working hard to ensure their software will work with Windows Vista. Other products, such as Word Perfect Office, Corel Snapfire, and the consumer-level graphics editor Paint Shop Pro XI, will be updated for Vista with service pack releases soon after the release of Vista. Corel Painter and Corel Painter Essentials will have full Vista support in their next versions.

“Microsoft is pleased with the tremendous support Corel has shown for the launch of Windows Vista,” said Brad Goldberg, general manager for Windows Client at Microsoft Corp. “CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3, which is Certified for Windows Vista, is a welcome tool for our customers looking for a graphics suite. By working closely with industry leading ISVs such as Corel, we’re pleased to offer our mutual customers seamless integration and a terrific user experience.”
