Hi, I am trying to rotate a medical symbol within a circle. I want to rotate it slightly then save then rotate slightly more and save, then combine all the motions in image ready to make it an animated gif.

I am having trouble rotating it with the correct axis.
Ho do I do this any ideas?

The logo is on the homepage, www.planetvet.com I want it to look like the medical symbol is rotating in circles.
That make sense.?
PLEASE HELP!!

I have text, that I want to transfor into a 3d shape. Converted the text to paths and did the effect. I was wondering why Illustrator (CS) makes ugly lines to some corners on the shape, for example the inside corner of a capital A.

And how will these effects work on a pdf and print?

I am really glad to hear you figured it out...I tried last night to duplicate the problem and so far was having no luck! Have you tired with nothing but Illustrator open, and a huge swap file (set you swap disk to a drive with loads of space)? Go to the preferences and choose Plug-ins and Scratch Disk and change teh scratch disk settings. You might be able to skate by that way.

I think I figured it out. I only have 248MB RAM, so Illustrator can't render a sphere. Time to upgrade!

Sara,

Thanks for writing the tutorial - very helpful.

I followed all of the steps you described, then clicked on OK in the 3D Revolve Options window, and ... nothing happened. For some reason Illustrator isn't rotating the semicircle into a sphere. What am I doing wrong?

Just curious if there is a way to then turn the rotated object into an editable thing. Since I use Photoshop a lot I'll draw from that as an example.

If I create layer styles, I can then turn the layer into the actual style that I made so that it is no longer the base graphic with the styles on top of it.

In my illustrator case, I used the filter to make a perspective wall out of a group of objects. I now want the objects to take on the visual shape they have so I can copy and mirror them to the other side of the graphic.
