Photoshop And AIR Marketplace Launched, Coming In Summer

The Photoshop Marketplace and AIR Marketplace are online now.

Last week Adobe introduced the Photoshop Marketplace, a website at Adobe.com designed to be a central location for Photoshop plug-ins, services, events, books and other materials. Right now the website is staying relatively quiet as publishers and software developers get their publisher credentials together and begin populating the website with products and content. The press release said, “With Photoshop Marketplace, Adobe aims to connect its customers to the expansive ecosystem that has formed around Photoshop. Users will now have one central location to explore the resources available to them, including links to Photoshop communities, events, education resources, plug-ins, extensions and more.” Photoshop Marketplace will be fully functional and available to all users in summer 2009.

I also learned that Adobe also launched the AIR Marketplace, which follows the same concept as the Photoshop Marketplace but delivers AIR apps instead. That website can be found at airmarketplace.adobe.com, or you can visit marketplace.adobe.com to reach the overall homepage.
