Linotype Updates FontExplorer X for Mac OSX-With CS3 Support

Version 1.2 release includes plugins for activating fonts in InDesign and Illustrator CS3

Linotype has updated FontExplorer X for Mac OS X, releasing its version 1.2 today.

The update includes a basketful of improvments and additions, including:

• Auto-activation plugins for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign CS3
• Improved previews
• More import information
• Expanded font activation capabilities, including the ability to activate an entire font suitcase if just one of the fonts in the suitcase is activated
• Ability to create font sets from detected fonts in the open document

Amongst other improvements include font cache cleaning for QuarkXPress and Adobe caches, as well as updated plugins for Adobe CS and CS2 as well as for QuarkXPress 6.5 and 7. It is also now a Universal Binary.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the price…it’s still free.
