How do You Handle that Orphan that Just Does Not Stop to Cry Alone?
I run into an interesting topic in the About Desktop Publishing forum. A forum member is asking some interesting questions that typographer lovers/experts would probably have a lot to say about. She says:
Working with Indesign do the Justification settings just work with justified type?Any typesetters out there with their favourite type settings would be appreciated - I realise that different settings have to be set for different fonts.
Examples that I am looking for are in the justfication option glyphs 98-100-102 and para space after same as leading etc.
Who uses optical kerning who doesn’t and why.
What values of tracking and scaling do you use to get rid of that orphan or do you use word spacing?
What do you do? Would you like to share some tips and tricks?
