The erstwhile Suite element has been released in stand-alone version, available for downloaders only
A number of web sources have let the cat out: Adobe’s next version of former Suitemember GoLive, officially called GoLive 9 (notably, not GoLive CS3), is out and available for download now. Visiting Adobe’s web site verifies this.
Touting several new features (such as Visual CSS Layout amongst others), it is available now via download only. Pricing is set at US$ 399, or upgrade from US$ 169.
The GoLive page and it’s attendant FAQ are quite revealing, prominently containing several encouragements to switch to Dreamweaver CS3, none more marked or unmistakable as this entreaty on the Buy GoLive 9 sub page:
Consider Adobe Dreamweaver® CS3, the market-leading tool to design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications. Part of Adobe Creative Suite® 3 software, Dreamweaver offers a visual layout interface, a streamlined coding environment, and intelligent integration with related Adobe software. You can also take advantage of free tools and support to help ease your transition from GoLive to Dreamweaver.
