After a long wait, here’s QuarkXPress 7 in almost all of its splendour.
Tuesday, January 10—Quark announces the QuarkXPress 7 public beta program at the Macworld conference. Though the program is not yet released in its final form, the help documentation is already complete. The beta program is live on the site together with information about QuarkxPress 7 features and learning resources.

The public beta program for QuarkXPress 7 provides an early look at the upcoming release. Public beta participants can see an advance preview and provide feedback on the new features in QuarkXPress 7.
Quark expects to release the final and fully functional release of QuarkXPress 7 by the end of March 2006. Amongst its new features we find support for transparency—including alpha channels in TIFF and PSD images, colour opacity and drop shadows—PSD Import enhancements, tables enhancements, advanced Open Type features and more.
