Tips, Story Ideas, and Press Releases

We welcome your story ideas, leads, tips, and on-topic press releases. If you have something to share, tip us off. If we run with the story, you will be credited. Requests of anonymity will be strictly honored.

Note: We have little tolerance for lazy PR agencies. Before you send a client’s press release to us, please read a little of the site to find what topics we cover. (Hint: The Bacons listing is completely wrong.) If we receive from the same agency 2 releases or announcements that have nothing to do with the subjects covered by Designorati we will blacklist the originating agency’s domain name on our mail server.

It’s a harsh policy, but necessary as our editors are inundated by irrelevant announcements and releases from lazy or over zealous PR agents making it difficult to find the material that is relevant to our readers.

Product Reviews

Designorati accepts relevant products, books, and media for review. Please e-mail the publisher with ESD download instructions or to obtain a mailing address for shipping physical products. Unless specifically requested, review products are not returned—nor are they sold. NFR product is generally retained by the reviewer and often becomes the subject of future articles. If the reviewer does not retain the product, it is destroyed or given away in contests to readers of Designorati.com or QuarkVSInDesign.com. You will not find Designorati editors selling your NFR products on eBay or Amazon.

Note: Unsolicited NFR products are welcomed, but Designorati makes no guarantee to review any such unsolicited items.
